Terms of Use

Last updated: April 23, 2026
Effective date: April 23, 2026

These Terms of Use explain the rules for using Korka (“we”, “our”, “the app”), the iOS application and related services at korka.app. By downloading, installing, or using Korka, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Korka is operated by Astrid as a sole proprietor based in Sweden. For questions about these terms, email hello@korka.app.

1. Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement

Korka is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your use of Korka is governed primarily by Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement, which you can read at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula.

The Standard EULA covers:

Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and has the right to enforce them against you.

The additional sections below cover things specific to Korka that Apple’s EULA does not.

2. Who can use Korka

You must be at least 16 years old to use Korka. By using the app, you confirm you meet this age requirement.

3. What Korka does

Korka reads the public content of social media posts you share via the iOS share sheet and uses AI to identify the venue referenced in each post. We verify identifications against public places data and save a reference to your personal map.

You are in control. Nothing is saved to your map without your tap.

4. AI-generated content is informational only

Korka uses AI to identify venues from posts. Our AI Trip Planner also uses AI to suggest itineraries based on your saved spots.

AI can be wrong. Venue identifications may be incorrect. Trip planner suggestions are rough starting points, not verified itineraries. Opening hours, addresses, and prices shown in Korka come from third-party sources and may be out of date.

Before acting on any information from Korka, please verify it directly — especially for bookings, dietary restrictions, accessibility, or anything where accuracy matters to you.

We do not guarantee the accuracy of any AI-generated content in Korka.

5. Content you share with Korka

You own the content you save to Korka (collection names, notes, ratings, saved venues). We do not claim ownership.

By using the app, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you and to anyone you explicitly share with via a share code. This license ends when you delete the content or your account.

6. Sharing collections with friends

Korka lets you share a collection or city map with another user using a 6-digit share code. When a recipient redeems your code, they get a read-only copy of the shared content at that moment. Changes you make afterward are not reflected on their side. You can revoke a share code before it’s redeemed, but not after.

You are responsible for what you choose to share. Do not share content that you do not have the right to share.

7. What you may not do

When using Korka, you agree not to:

We may suspend or terminate your access to Korka if you break these rules.

8. Third-party content

When you share a post with Korka, the original post belongs to its creator. Korka does not store the original post content — we store only the venue information extracted from it and a link back to the original post.

If you are a content creator and want to know more about how your content is handled, or request exclusion, email hello@korka.app.

9. Third-party services

Korka depends on third-party service providers to function. The categories of providers we work with are described in our Privacy Policy. Each has its own terms and is responsible for its own service. We are not liable for the actions of these third parties.

10. No subscription — one-time purchase

Korka is free to download and use with basic features. Premium features are unlocked with a one-time in-app purchase at the local price set by Apple in your App Store region. There is no subscription and no recurring charge. The unlock is permanent for the Apple ID that purchased it.

All purchases and refunds are handled by Apple. See Apple’s Standard EULA and reportaproblem.apple.com for the refund process.

11. If you’re in the EU or EEA

If you are a consumer in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have rights under local consumer protection law that these terms do not limit. Nothing here waives any right you have that cannot be waived by contract.

You can use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr for disputes relating to digital services.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict of law principles, to the extent permitted by the consumer protection laws that apply to you.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email.

Your continued use of Korka after an update means you accept the revised terms. If you don’t agree, you can stop using the app and delete your account from Settings.
